Getting from Point A to Point Z
We’re always looking for better ways to do things at the Agency. How can we move faster, get more efficent?
Generally these innovations impact internal processes, but every now and then (and often from left field), some star bangs out something that could help out anyone & everyone in the PR industry. Something simple, but effective.
If you’ve got a press tour planned in San Francisco or New York City, click those city links to access an interactive Google Map of the office locations of the major publications in those media-heavy metros. We’ll get to Boston at some point in the near future, too.
Have a good trip. Hope this helps.

Another generous and helpful piece of info. Thanks, Todd. Now, what would really be great is to overlay the Starbucks locations on this map http://tinyurl.com/2der79. For those times corporate firewalls won't allow your clients to access Internet from the conference room, or said client forgets his EVDO card in the hotel room, Starbucks is a lifesaver. Plus, bloggers who work from home usually don't want to have you demoing your latest and greatest amid dirty laundry and cat hair.

Another helpful thing about Google Maps is street view. You can get an idea of what the building looks like (esp if you're walking to your destination). It hasn't rolled out in all cities but is there in many of the major regions.

This is a great bit of info to share! I'm in the process of planning a media tour in NYC and mapped my whole tour out on the google maps. I also created the schedule by adding notes in annotated locations. Was super helpful to see where the major publishers are for scheduling and also an easy way to keep everything all in one place.
