R.I.P. Randy Pausch
Sorry to have to post this video so soon after the “Friday Fun” video, but if I had to choose between the two, this would be the clear winner.
I’ve watched this video half-a-dozen times in the past year, and it always inspires. Professor Pausch passed away today. R.I.P., sir.

I am sitting here watching this video of Dr. Pausch with tears in my eyes, but I am also very inspired, on a day when it really helps to experience this "last lecture." We often feel despair when we encounter what seems to be a brick wall, or when someone tells us we could do better, but he has given all the children of the world a priceless lecture here.
As adults, we need to remember it always. He reminds us to value integrity, truth, creativity, fun, and people over things, no matter what is going on in our lives or our workplace. Organizations would be advised to take these lessons to heart as well as individuals. Thank you, Todd, for sharing Dr. Pausch's courageous lecture and wisdom with us.

This will surely leave a lump in my throat all day.
But I won't complain.
What a remarkable man.

I watched this with an acute sense of cowardice, in that I simply don't think I'd have the moxie to keep my upper lip stiff during such a moving speech about my imminent death -- written for my kids, no less!
Thanks for sharing. I've passed it on to several folks, too.

As a father, the last line really brought it home (this lecture isn't for 400 students, it's for 3 people - his kids). Makes the vid NSFW when you have a cube.
Thanks for posting Todd. I've been meaning to watch this, and found it here.
