Friday Fun: "The Future of Viral Marketing"

Via Slate, a hysterical look at the “future” of viral marketing.

Hopefully the premise never takes off, even though this video itself is defintely making the rounds.

While I’ve got you – an FYI.  I’ll be in San Francisco next Monday thru Wednesday.  Got a ton of fun meetings planned, including a TWEET-UP at the Elephant & Castle Pub, 6pm PST on Tuesday.  Hope to see you there, Left Coasters!

Great video; both funny and frighteningly prescient. Talk about social media marketing! It doesn't get much more social than that. If marketers could get the ROI to work, I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this happen.

It's not really a viral marketing campaign for the movie? It should be (the video - not the fake boyfriend)!

Awesome. Hilarious! And yep, we can identify. Ok, on the power of this one great find, I gotta go RSS your blog. Thanks!

Todd,

Saw your tweet on this the other day and shared with everyone in my office. We love all the crazy movie viral campaigns and alternate reality games, so this video was a hit. Thanks for sharing.

Brandon

LOL...this is hysterical!

Todd, I thought you are the actor in the video.
