"Kill It"

Caught this at David Parmet’s blog – it’s Gary Vaynerchuk’s Web2.0 keynote.  The language is NSFW, but the passion is infectious.

“If you’re pumping out good shit, people will follow.  But if you for a second – for a 1/2 second – don’t believe in what you are doing … you need to get out, now.”

There have been less than 10,000 views of this vid on YouTube, but I predict it goes pretty viral soon.

This was just what I needed today.

I always love the first time an audience sees Gary because people first get scared and then as they realize this crazy, passionate, swearing guy isn't there to scare them, but to teach them.

Love it!

Wow - great video.

I can't imagine it not going viral.

If you are pumping out good stuff people will follow. If you have brand equity you'll be found. Do what you love. Work. All of these comments within his speech point to a consistent strategy of hard work and persistence - no flash in the pan, easy money. Sounds like my parents were right.

I had the pleasure of seeing Gary speak at BlogWorld Expo and he's such an intense guy, but infectious is exactly on-target. He just makes you want to go out and CRUSH IT...

Fantastic presentation. I didn't know about Gary but thanks to this video I've started watching Wine Library TV and now have many new ideas to use on my business.

My favorite quote: 'everybody has time, stop watching fucking Lost!'.

It's been my experience that the message of "patience, persistence and hard work" are RARELY the ingredients of a "viral" marketing message.

"Fast Easy Money" = Viral.
"Quick and Easy Money for Dummies" = Viral

Patience, persistence, dedication and effort - not so much.

Those are definitely the essential ingredients for success - Gary's success is a well documented - maybe he's the right messenger for this essential "secret".

Gary knows how to get the audience motivated to get out of their seats and do something! He's a pretty special character he is.
