		<description>Congratulations Todd. You&#039;ve always been at the head of the class and steadfast in your beliefs even when some around you considered your beliefs to be passing fads. You have proven again that you are the best at what you do!

		<description>Hi Todd,
Big thumbs up for the coverage and the overall positive reception of the social media press release. From my point of view (being from CEE region and all that) I think that we won’t see it in real use anytime soon, but i like the thinking behind it. Maybe it’s different in the US but here the journalists are lazy (well, most of them as the best ones found their place in business and... public relations :) and bloggers do not have all that influence around here.

Anyway, few things from the SMPR are cool and I like them which mean I am pitching them to my colleagues and to their clients. So thank you for the ideas and keep it coming ;-)

PS: better do not check our website, its awful as we work more for the clients than on our own marketing. shame on us.

		<description>&quot;I am afraid I must also use this unique opportunity to remind folks that SHIFT Communications is a kick-ass, for-profit PR agency. (Pure-bred bloggers, shield your eyes!)&quot;
Hey Todd, Crow away. And every pure-bred blogger will cheer you on. The social media release template was something that we all benefitted from. But you did it first buddy. So, enjoy the warm glow of the sun. You&#039;ve earned it.

		<description>Todd: GREAT to see such coverage in BusinessWeek. True enough that so many companies are in the dark -- not just about RSS, and tagging, and whatever else -- but also about, well, BLOGGING. No place better to start than here. Congrats!

		<description>Thanks, John!
And to answer your question - nope, we did not pitch them (or anyone else for that matter).
&quot;Not that there&#039;s anything wrong with that!&quot;

		<description>Todd:

Congrats on the coverage. Did your team pitch them or did they just find out about via their bloggers??

		<description>Hi Gillian -
Yup, I admit, this is probably leading-edge stuff (maybe even bleeding edge) for most corporations... that doesn&#039;t mean that it is *not* the future, though.

As for a glossary of some sort: watch this space. ;)

		<description>Todd - very cool. Congrats on great press for press. One thought that has been bugging me: most corporations (even tech companies) do not even know what a del.icio.us page is; what a tag is; or (gasp) how they can even use RSS. You&#039;re on the forefront of the new discussion but companies (even mine) need help to catch up.

May I suggest - or has this been done - a defrenpedia for &quot;new media&quot; (I hate the term PR 2.0) approaches to getting into the discussion?
