I have to admit, I’m finding a bit hard to follow this discussion about “the” social media release. It seems like we’re really talking about a bunch of different social media releases (SHIFT’s template, StoryCrafter, hRelease, etc.)

Am I missing the point? (Which I’m the first to admit is entirely possible…)

You thought that the “conversation for conversation’s sake” implied a cavalier approach? Honestly, I thought that that was a COOL idea, Phil, and apologize if you took it otherwise.

As for the Strike3 comment – dude, hey, it is what it is. The Agency has fouled it up a few times, and that’s not just my opinion.

FWIW, though, I also recognize that a lot of hard-working, earnest and well-meaning people work at Edelman!

…given recent damage wrought to Edelman’s reputation by the Agency’s own Social Media missteps, releasing StoryCrafter to the masses might have made a nice peace offering. But, maybe that’s just me.

…rather than to spur conversation-for-conversation’s-sake as a first-priority.

That wording implies an approach that is far more cavalier than has been intended or communicated.
