Hi Todd - I want to help you spread the word because I honestly believe works like yours will be extremely important to millions of people in the near future. I know my next statement may not be original but I believe that SM will have a bigger impact on society than Gutenberg’s printing press did.

Here is where you can help me. I am not on Twitter and do not really know how to go about it. Being a Boomer I sometimes struggle with technology, but my determination always carries me through.

I belong to a very large group (In the hundreds of thousands) of professionals who are in dire needs of embracing SM, and I want to see a lot of them succeed.

Are you able to help me so I can help you spread the word about your book?

Sincerely,

John Carr
Toronto, Canada.

Hi amymengel.....

Well certainly you can make an initiative and start talking to your networks. Initially it might little difficult, but if you show them commuication benefits, then certainly they would be interested in it. I would like to add some thing to your question. B2B is a niche area. There is very little scope for social media. But if you go through a simple logic, somebody has to take an initiative to start building platforms and rooms for B2B. We never knew about social networking till Orkut and Facebook came up with. Similarly, if we intend to explore an area, we should rather look at initiating things. Hence we can start building networks and create rooms on social platforms for B2B professionals, and start creating buzz around it. Very soon this area will build its own network of people and we can further leverage these areas too for B2B communications.

I m a social Media consultant from India and i have suggested a similar kind of logic to one of my clients. You can even create dedicated networks as to begin with social media implementation in this vertical. Please look at this web 2.0 tool called - www.collectivex.com. I would recommend this as one of the best initiatives for B2B to begin with.

Let me know if u need any additional help for this vertical.
