PR PITCH POLICY

PR-Squared is generally devoted to helping marketers fare well in Social Media and Public Relations. It is written by a principal at a PR agency. I am always in the market for new clients. So now you know “what it’s about” and all you need to know about my “agenda.”

You are welcome to send me a pitch, at tdefren (at) shiftcomm (dot) com. Please make it brief, and do me the courtesy of showing me that you understand what I typically write about. “Product reviews” are incredibly rare, for example.

Please do not expect a reply; I get a lot of email, but, I do read it all. Follow-up is not necessary. “Aggressive” follow-up is not appropriate nor appreciated. If I don’t respond, it doesn’t mean I didn’t like your pitch. It could be that I filed it away for future posts, or simply because I am busy or not interested. If I want to hear more, rest assured that I’ll be in touch.

You are not required to be a “regular reader” to pitch me; if your pitch is relevant and brief I’ll appreciate a new post idea. (Then again, it wouldn’t kill ya to subscribe, eh?)

Lastly, if you capitalize “SHIFT” in your email, you score at least one brownie point.

Thanks! Happy Pitching!
